In this Robin Hood inspired Romantasy, Vireya has spent years stealing from Elonivia’s wealthy to help the people the kingdom leaves behind. She knows what she thinks of nobles: they take, they command, and they never have to answer for it. Calren is the newly crowned king and nothing like the tyrant she expected. 

They enter an alliance that takes the form of a betrothal. It binds a thief who refuses to bow, to a king who refuses to treat her as expendable. The more Vireya sees the man beneath the crown, the harder it becomes to pretend she doesn’t care.

Meanwhile, something forbidden is taking root in Elonivia. Vireya and Calren are each hiding secrets but to face what’s coming, a thief and a king will have to rely on each other all while the false betrothal starts to feel real.
